Story / Background
Humanity has evolved for thousands of years, creating technology as it went in order to survive and prosper. The technology they were creating began to outpace their own abilities, and quickly afterward began to surpass their own intellect. As humans had little desire to be outpaced by the very machines they built, a procedure was developed to convert the biological human brain to complex programs that could be stored electronically. Death and disease became non-factors, and humanity rejoiced in their newfound immortality. Though humanity had little to fear from the physical dangers of the universe, they soon learned to fear themselves. One human in particular was able to exploit the system in which consciousness was stored. With this exploit, he began to consume other humans and enslave their minds for his own use. This being became known as Eversor "the destroyer". You are one of the many that are now part of this ultimate being.
Stage 1: Resource Collection
Once a new user joins the game, they start as a normal robot subprocess of the overall being, Eversor. As one of the lowest priority subprocesses, your tasks will include gathering silicon, and killing dangerous indigenous species of the planet. Essentially, we have a futuristic version of hunting and gathering. Your tasks specifically will depend on the city that you are a part of, and what that city has decided is important. The focus of this stage is in detail and realism. The mines where you find silicon will be detailed, so you can walk around in them. The areas where you kill alien monsters will also be detailed, and all of this will take place in a first-person camera view.

Stage 2: City Management
After a while of hunting and gathering, you will accrue enough process priority to be converted into the manager process for a city. In this stage of the game, you make the decisions for what buildings are placed in the city, and determine what resources or tasks should be carried out. In order to place buildings, you will need a certain amount of resources, which can be acquired by doing tasks in Stage 1 of the game. The difference here, though, is that you can manually do these tasks, but you can also order the citizens of your city to do particular tasks for the city. They are rewarded in process priority, and you will be able to use the resources that have been collected to better the city.
Stage 3: Space Exploration
Once the city has built a space hangar, the city can begin building space ships and sending them to space. Sending ships to space allows the player to mine asteroids in the system for more valuable resources, fight rogue ships in space battles, or simply explore the galaxy. There are several types of ships here, from single man ships to massive warships that requires cooperative efforts from several players just to pilot, and even more to run the onboard hangars and turrets.
One very important point to note is that these "stages" as I have described are not self-contained and concrete areas of gameplay. At any time, you can move down back to earlier stages to get a hands on view for what is happening in your city, or what's happening with your workers.
